Mr. Zamora, Principal
I am a former Andress High graduate who is proud to serve our Northeast community. I attended EPCC and went on to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I taught 5th grade at Collins Elementary. The campus voted me campus teacher of the year in 1997-98, and I was later recognized in The El Paso Times as their Teacher of the Day. I continued my education at UTEP to receive a Master's degree in Educational Administration. Soon after I was hired as assistant principal at Collins under then Principal, Mr. Horan. Together with Teachers and Staff we worked to bring our campus up to Recognized, and then Exemplary levels as determined by TEA. I went on to become Principal of Nixon Elementary where we continued our reputation as a community school. At Nixon we were able to become the top rated school in Area 2 (Andress, Chapin, and Austin feeder patterns), and 4th in the district. I am now very proud to serve as Principal of H.E. Charles Middle School. We have a great faculty and work hard to provide outstanding service to the Charles community.
Over the years it has been an honor to work with all the great educators in the district, and the outstanding students (and their parents) that go through EPISD. What I am truly thankful for, is the inspiration that my own parents have provided to me throughout my life and career.
Mrs. Estrada, Assistant Principal

She continued in that assignment for 6 years. During that time she coached Boy’s and Girl’s Cross Country and Basketball. She also served as a tennis coach and yearbook advisor at the school.
